The Common Room

Community, connection and support for therapists in private practice

Private practice can feel lonely.

You can spend your days holding space for others - supporting clients through grief, trauma, anxiety, and crisis - while quietly carrying the weight of your own questions, doubts, and challenges behind the scenes.

Building a practice brings freedom, but it can also feel isolating.

  • The uncertainty.
  • The responsibility.
  • The business side no one really prepares you for.
  • The quiet wondering if everyone else somehow knows what they’re doing.

That's why I am in the process of creating The Common Room - a space for therapists, counsellors, trainees, and helping professionals to come together.

A place for honest conversations, shared learning, reflection, and support beyond formal supervision.

A place to talk about the realities of private practice - the rewarding parts, the difficult parts, and everything in between.

No pressure.

No pretending.

No polished professional masks.

Just real conversations with people who get it. This space will evolve to include connection, peer support, reflective conversations, workshops, and practical guidance for professionals seeking

to build meaningful, sustainable practices.

A place to pause, connect, and feel less alone in the work.
