What to Expect

I’m not the kind of therapist who sits silently nodding while asking “and how does that make you feel?” on repeat.

Therapy with me is human.

Real conversations. Real connection. A space where you don’t need to have the right words, or make everything sound neat and tidy.

Because grief, trauma, anxiety, burnout, and loss rarely show up neatly.

They show up in overthinking. In shutdown. In tears that seem to come from nowhere. In irritability. In feeling disconnected from yourself. In exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix.

Sometimes talking helps.

Sometimes words aren’t enough.

That’s why my work isn’t just about thoughts - it’s about your nervous system, your body, and the ways stress, trauma and grief can live in you physically.

Together, we gently make sense of what’s happening, at your pace.

No fixing. No forcing. No pressure to “move on.”

Just space to understand yourself more deeply, process what’s happened, and figure out what healing actually looks like for you.

Who Do I Work With?

I work well with those who:

  • feel stuck in grief or loss
  • struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional exhaustion
  • are used to being the strong one for everyone else
  • overthink everything
  • feel disconnected from themselves
  • are carrying old wounds, trauma, or unresolved pain
  • are tired of pretending they’re fine

I also understand that not all grief comes with sympathy cards.

Sometimes the losses that hurt the most are the ones people don’t fully see or understand.

How I Work

I work integratively, which means I draw from counselling, psychotherapy, somatic approaches, and hypnotherapy depending on what feels most helpful for you.

In plain English? I tailor therapy to the person in front of me.

Because you’re not a box to fit into a model.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief:

  • You are not broken.
  • You may feel lost, overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted - but that doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.

Often, your mind and body have simply been doing their best to help you survive difficult experiences.

Therapy can help you understand those patterns with compassion, so things can begin to shift.
